Editorial Policy
ScoreAlp is committed to editorial independence. This page explains how we research, review, and rank credit cards — and how we make money without compromising our recommendations.
🛡️ Editorial Independence
Our editorial team operates independently from our business and advertising teams. Card issuers and affiliate networks do not review, approve, or influence our reviews before publication. They do not pay for favorable rankings.
Our matching algorithm ranks cards based solely on the user's credit profile and the card's eligibility criteria, fees, and features — never based on commission rates. A card that pays us $75/approval is ranked below a card that pays $25/approval if it's a better match for the user.
💰 How We Make Money
ScoreAlp earns revenue through affiliate referral commissions. When you click "Apply Now" and are approved for a card through our link, the card issuer pays us a one-time referral fee (typically $25–$75). You pay nothing extra — the fee comes from the issuer's marketing budget.
This compensation may influence which cards we feature prominently on the homepage. However, our matching algorithm rankings are never influenced by compensation — they are based entirely on your quiz answers and each card's eligibility criteria.
🔬 Our Review Methodology
Every card we review is evaluated across the following criteria:
✅ Data Accuracy & Updates
Credit card terms change frequently. We aim to review and update all card data on a monthly basis. However, we cannot guarantee that all information is current at all times.
Before applying for any card, we strongly recommend verifying the current terms directly on the issuer's website. Interest rates in particular are variable and can change without notice.
If you notice outdated or inaccurate information, please contact us at hello@scorealp.com. We take accuracy reports seriously and typically update within 24 hours.
